Every year they open there doors for artists across Plymouth to exhibit work and present performances across their diverse range of rooms and halls. The Athenaeum has become the hub of activity for the Weekender, where you find many of the city's artists gathering at the end of every day of the Weekender to let their hair down and exchange stories of the festival. During the Weekender the school becomes a thriving centre of activity, with many if the classrooms being taken over by artists, makers and performers to put on events. The artist studios will be open during the course of the Weekender, so there is a good opportunity to meet different creatives that are based at the studios.
