The Athenaeum

Founded in 1812 as the Plymouth Institution, the Plymouth Athenaeum is home of The Devon and Cornwall Natural History Society. Every year they open there doors for artists across Plymouth to exhibit work and present performances across their diverse range of rooms and halls. The Athenaeum has become the hub of activity for the Weekender, where you find many of the city's artists gathering at the end of every day of the Weekender to let their hair down and exchange stories of the festival. One of the city's largest creative centres, Ocean Studios in the iconic Royal William Yard has spaces ideal for exhibitions, workshops and other live events.
