How to run an event checklist

Check List:

  • Confirm Venue
  • Confirm Artists
  • Confirm dates & timings
  • Will you need help manning the space or looking after your artwork?
  • Have you got relevant permissions?
  • Secure one or two engaging images for marketing
  • Write a 250 word summary that you can use & adapt to promote your event
  • Proof read your text & get your peers to check it as well
  • Don’t miss the listing deadline – 10th June! 
  • Risk assess for artist and audience activity
  • Get insurance: public liability insurance is available as part of membership from a-n or Axisweb
  • Link your marketing to Plymouth Art Weekender’s social media
  • Make sure all your work is installed & ready by Friday
  • If you list event times make sure you’re open!
