Would you like to pitch for some microfunding for your PAW event?
We are delighted to announce that we are running a second seedfund pitching event for PAW2020 (usually known as 'SOUP') virtually on the evening of the 19th of June.
If you are selected, you will have to pitch your idea to the live audience and they will then vote on whether they would like to see your project funded. The pots of money tend to be between £500-£600! This time round we will be funding three projects.
To submit your project idea for pitching, please email commissions@plymouthartweekender.com with the subject line ‘PAW 2020 Seed Funding Pitch Round Two’ and include:
- a summary of your project & who is involved
- what your project is going to cost (this is so we have an overall scope for the project)
- what the outcomes are likely to be
You have until the end of Monday the 8th of June (midnight) to get in touch with the above information, and we will let you know that week if you're through to the pitching stage!
There is no specific criteria needed to be included in the pitching process, it’s open to any creative/creative groups who are interested in running an event or exhibition at the Weekender this September. The proposal can be about a project already in progress or a fresh idea and you do not have to have had experience in delivering similar events in the past to be considered to pitch. The call out and criteria is specifically open so as to leave space for the variety and wealth of ideas you might have. If you have any questions, you can email us on commissions@plymouthartweekender.com
For those of you who are interested in being in the audience on the night, go to the Crowdfunder page for tickets. And keep an eye on our news page and social media where we'll soon be announcing our entertainment for the event, and of course who has been selected to pitch!
