Feminist Fusion

Lecture Theatre, Plymouth Athenaeum, Derrys Cross, Plymouth, PL1 2SW

Feminist Fusion is a community arts project that combines arts with a public dialogue about patriarchal oppression. It includes various short acts, some of them artistic (music, theatre, visual, poetry, etc) and others philosophical or political (talks, quizzes, discussions, etc.). It focuses on supporting women’s arts specifically to counterbalance the lack of representation of women’s ways of making and presenting art in a male-dominated society, although there is a special session to showcase anti-patriarchal male artists.

There’s also space for collective creativity, local announcements and a table for information flyers on events, groups, etc. Our September session will be dedicated to BLACK FEMINISM, showcasing the work of acclaimed performer Ria Hartley, among other local artists, plus DIY crafts for all the attendants.

Entry £1 contribution. Everyone welcome!
