Barbican New Street Artists
Dave Crocker, Caroline Mercer, Keith Simmons and Glyn White
Studio Two, 34, New Street, Plymouth. PL12NA

The Barbican New Street Artists will be exhibiting their diverse work capturing the places and people of Plymouth. Dave Crocker combines his en plein air townscapes with time lapse photography simultaneously capturing the creation of his work and the activity in the scene. He is also completing a portrait project capturing live music in Plymouth.
Caroline Mercer makes hand built, ceramic portraits, capturing the essence of the people she sees, meets and knows. They explore what makes us human: often touching and always thought provoking. You might just see someone you recognise.Glyn White primarily focuses on landscape work, in particular his passion for the South West Devon coast and the sea. He is most interest in capturing the mood of a scene and the play between light and water. Wherever Glyn is, his trusty canine companion Deacon will be close by.
Keith Simmons paints scenes from the shores of Plymouth. He works exclusively in acrylics with the varied subject matter reflecting his love of the sea and a lifetime sailing yachts. Keith’s work is centred on Sutton Harbour where he lives on his boat.
