Event Details

Over the past couple of months we have been working with Kevin French to produce a collection of drawings and organise an exhibition. Kevin suffers from cerebral palsy and uses both life modelling and contemporary dance as a means to express himself – he is currently studying for an MA in contemporary dance at Plymouth University. When working from Kevin all conventional methods for making a life drawing are forgotten, you are forced to take a more direct and subjective approach. Kevin’s condition means that his body is constantly moving, marks are made rapidly in reference to fleeting poses – or an emotive response to that particular moment.

Exhibition runs 22nd- 24th September
