Event Details

To mark Plymouth Arts Centre’s 70th anniversary, I am preparing to research the history of its location & the people and events connected to the site that have made an impact on cultural, social, ethical & economic history nationally & internationally. I am looking for people to get involved. This session will provide an opportunity to find out more about it and to see some of what has gone on previously during the initial phases of the Looe Street Detectives. If you’ve ever fancied becoming a sleuth – this is your opportunity! As an artist I work with archival material, experiential observation, myths, anecdote and facts to create work that actively aims to get people involved. The research phase will run until December, with an exhibition and programme of events scheduled to take place at the Arts Centre in February and March 2018. There’ll be site visits and research sessions over the coming months, with the opportunity for your investigations to be included in the exhibition. Drop in to the café at PAC on Saturday afternoon and we can have a chat. Be great to see you.
